Can I pay by check?
Yes, complete registration online and simply select "send a check" at checkout.
What is your refund policy?
Camp registration is refundable, minus a $15 handling fee per event per camper, until 30 days prior to the selected session. No refunds will be granted after that time, except in the event of medical exemption.
Are discounts available?
Yes! Receive an automatic 10% discount when enrolling more than one camper. If you have only one camper who enrolls for multiple camp sessions, you may also be eligible for a 10% discount by contacting us in advance for a discount code (803.802.2300). Because camps are already economically priced, we cannot double discount or offer discounts beyond those described above.
What should my child wear?
We encourage comfortable, dance-friendly, play-friendly clothing. Please have children wear a soft-soled shoe with a back (such as a tennis shoe). Please DO NOT allow your children to wear flip-flops to camp.
What should my child bring?
Each camper should bring a nut-free sack lunch. We also recommend an easy-to-open water bottle. Please apply sunscreen before coming or send sunscreen with your child so that it may be applied prior to any outdoor activities.
Why a "nut-free" lunch?
It is not uncommon to find one or more children with mild to severe peanut allergies participating in camp activities. Because this type of allergy has become increasingly more common and is potentially life-threatening, we ask that all campers abide by this policy as a preventive measure.
What happens the first day of camp?
Upon arrival, campers will be greeted by camp staff and are encouraged to join in with high-energy, cooperative group games. Shortly thereafter, campers will be broken into teams and meet their teammates. We will take extra time on day-one to introduce campers to their counselors and make them feel welcome and excited to be at camp, while sharing camp behavior expectations. After that, campers break into classes and participate in a short, fun "audition." No preparation is required for the audition and we strive to keep auditions exciting and non-threatening. During class rotations, we'll have a short snack time. Campers will come together for crafts, games, team time and character building activities before and after lunch. Then, it's afternoon rehearsal for the camp mini-musical. All children will participate in the mini-musical. Some will be assigned speaking parts and/or solos based upon auditions.
If my child is upset, can I stay?
Parents are welcome to stay for opening activities. But once campers break into teams, it is best for parents to let camp staff take over. Our staff is equipped to look out for children who may need additional encouragement to participate in activities. Almost always, once campers have a few minutes to see what fun camp is, they quickly adjust. Please be assured that if your child is overly upset for an extended period of time, we will contact you.
Who do I contact in case of an emergency?
Call the NarroWay office at 803.802.2300 and a staff member will assist.
Do you have extended care hours?
As NarroWay is an operating theater with other ongoing activities, we are unable to provide extended care hours. Drop-off begins at 8:30am. Please make sure to pick up children no later than 4:15pm.
How do you handle allergies?
Please let us know of any allergies on your child's enrollment form. Our staff will be alerted to the allergy and maintain a high level of awareness. Medication may be left with the camp coordinator, along with directions for use.
More questions?
Call 803.802.2300 and ask to speak with the camp director.
